Entraining Diffuser 1D & 3D modelling
Ejector systems are used to passively mix two streams together through turbulent mixing. The mixing takes place between a low and high momentum jets. The entraining diffuser utilizes film cooling and turbulent mixing to cool the exhaust jet.

01
Temperature contours
Temperature contours for the exhaust and mixing tube.
02
Jet axial velocity vs x-coordinates
As the primary jet is issued into the mixing tube, its velocity drops due to turbulence mixing and momentum transfer.

03
Surface mesh
Here the surface mesh Triangular elements with prism layers are shown. Prism/inflation layers are required to capture the near wall flow behaviour.
04
Velocity vectors
These velocity vectors are for air that is being sucked into the mixing tube. The semi-cylinder at the inlet reduces the separation bubbles by reducing the angle of attack.
